Obituary: Sullivan, Anna C.

Age 103

SULLIVAN, Anna C. Anna was born in Butte, Montana on February 15, 1911, to John and Albertina Johnson and was called home to her Lord on March 4, 2014.

She married Mirt J. Sullivan on April 1, 1929, and moved to Spokane, WA in 1943.

She was preceded in death by her husband, “Sully”; daughter, Alice M. Sullivan; grandson, Jack R. Grier; great-grandson, Jack E. Forshee III; and two sons-in-law, Jack W. Grier and Jack E. Forshee.

She is survived by her two daughters, Dorothy A. Grier and Helen M. Forshee; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

Anna worked for Alcoa/Kaiser Aluminum for 37 years and then volunteered at Meals on Wheels, visiting hospitals and nursing homes, and sharing her love of God and wisdom to all.

Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, bead work, and reading to the vision impaired until her own eyesight failed.

Her main joy was spending time with her family and friends.

The family would like to thank Colonial Court for all their love and kindness for the past 3+ years and Hospice of Spokane for their help in making her comfortable in her last days.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Spokane, Advent Lutheran Church, or a charity of choice.

A memorial will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 13009 E. Broadway Ave., Spokane Valley, WA.
