Obituary: Nelson, Loretta M. “Cricket”
Age 65
Cherished wife and mother, Cricket, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 7th, 2014 at NIACH in Post Falls, Idaho after a lengthy battle that started in 2007 with small cell lung cancer.
She is survived by her husband “Bill” Lon W. Nelson; children Bill Hendrix of Clarkston, WA, Patty Jo Hendrix, Bill Nelson and Shanon Nelson all of Spokane Valley, WA; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers Garry Bidlake (JoAnn) of Cambridge, ID, Larry Bidlake (Sally) of Newport, OR; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
She was preceded in death by Vivian (mother) and John Moe (stepfather).
She was born September 29, 1948 in Colfax, Washington.
She was a volunteer for Lewis Clark React Channel 9 Emergency Service and was a member of The Barrel Mouth CB Club, where she was given the nickname Cricket.
Locally she is well known for being the co-owner of Lonnie Bills Tropical Sno (shave ice) in Riverfront Park.
Memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 2511 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206 on May 27th at 2:00 PM.
