Obituary: Preston, Jonathan Edward
Age 46
He was born in Soap Lake, WA to Edward Jefferson Preston and Sheila Harrington Preston, September 15, 1967.
He was preceded in death by his wife Melissa Rockwell Preston and brother, Marcus Preston.
Mr. Preston is survived by his parents of Mansfield, WA.
Survived also by sons, Nicholas and Jackson, and daughter, Samantha of Camas, WA., and sisters Susan Girardot, Michone Preston (Dan Wetzler), Tiffany Preston (Chris Cable) all of Spokane, and Siobhan Strang (Scott) of Chugiak, AK.
Also, survived by his brothers-in-law; Matt Clarkson (Cheri) of Camas, Eric (Neva) Clarkson, Vancouver, Casey Mills of Toppenish and Mike and Pat Rockwell of Vancouver, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jon was a graduate of Mansfield High School, Washington State University, and Gonzaga University.
While at Washington State he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
The family lived in California, Washington, Oregon, and China while working for Intel Corp. before moving to North Carolina to become Sr.
Program Manager, Data Center Development, for Microsoft Corp. Mr. Preston had formed his own company, JP Associates.
Jonathan was active in the Catholic Church, being a member of Francis of Assisi in Raleigh, NC, as well as a member of Holy Redeemer in Vancouver, WA.
He coached youth sports in both Camas and Raleigh.
He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will remain in our hearts forever.
Mass of Christian Burial to be held on at 11 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 17010 NE 9th St, Vancouver, WA 98684.
Burial will take place at a later date at the Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, Washington.
There will be a public visitation on Wednesday, May 21 from 3-7 PM at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98684.
Rosary will follow at the funeral home at 7 PM.
