Obituary: Petry, Freddie Mae

PETRY, Freddie Mae (Age 88) Passed away on May 19, 2014 in Greenacres, WA and was born on May 28, 1925 in Dumus, AR to Cleveland and Mary Ann Huff.

She is survived by her son, Vernon L. Petry (Doreen); one grandson, Vernell Joe Petry; and four great-grandchildren, Shalmar Petry, Tylea Petry, Joseph Vernell Petry, Jr. and Mae Viana Jane Petry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. Petry in 2011; one brother, four sisters and parents.

Freddie Mae came to Spokane, WA with her family as a teenager.

She worked at the Spokane Club for over 50 years in the Men’s Bar.

She attended the Mt.

Olive Baptist Church and loved music, her family, cooking and going to Playfair Race Course.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2104 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.m. with funeral services at 11:00 A.M. in the Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home’s Alwin Chapel, 1306 N. Monroe St., Spokane with Pastor A. S. Rhodes officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane.
