FITZPATRICK, William William “Duane” Fitzpatrick, 77, of Post Falls, former Sandpoint resident passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 30, 2014 at Pinecrest Memorial Park, with Pastor Mark Wendle , officiating.

A time of gathering and sharing will be held after the service at the Oden Hall.

William was born November 29, 1936 to Sue Mackey-Fitzpatrick and George F. Fitzpatrick in Sandpoint, Idaho.

On November 9, 1958 he married Lorraine Farnam at the Hitching Post in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Duane enjoyed carpentry, billiards, golf, Harley Davidson motor- cycles, and time with his family.

In his younger years, Duane enjoyed the great outdoors of Northern Idaho.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, always providing for his family.

He also liked to partake in the racing of snowmobiles, boats, and cars.

His love of automobiles lasted over 38 years working in the Ford auto parts business.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; one brother, Fred; and one nephew Chris.

Survivors include his wife Lorraine of 56 years, brother Jerry (Charlene) Fitzpatrick; three daughters: Sheryl (Billy) Schulz, Joyce (David) Cutbirth, Karen (Jeff) Schmick; grandchildren include Hannah, Philip, Noah, and Drew.

Duane was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all.
