Huskies win golf tourney
Soo Bin Kim shot a 9-under-par 210 over three rounds to finish second and help the Washington Huskies win the Pac-12 Preview women’s golf tournament on Tuesday at Nanea Golf Course in Kailua Kona, Hawaii.
Kim’s efforts guided the Huskies to an 11-stroke victory over runner-up UCLA, which was led by medalist Alison Lee (209). Washington finished with a team total of 865.
Alivia Brown carded a 221 and tied for 22nd place as the Washington State Cougars placed eighth.
Women’s soccer
Six Eastern Washington Eagles received All-Big Sky honors following the program’s most successful season in five years.
Freshman Chloe Williams was named to the first team as a midfielder. Senior forward Cassie Black and senior defender Katie Cashman earned second-team honors. Senior goalkeeper Nathalie Schwery, senior defender Kayla Sutter and freshman forward Savannah Hoekstra received honorable mention.
Eastern finished 8-8 on the season with five conference victories.
The Idaho Vandals had four players receive honorable mention honors.
They were: sophomore defender Elexis Schlossarek, senior defender Emily Ngan, freshman midfielder Chloe Bell and freshman forward Olivia Baggerly.
