Virginia (94) was born to Jesse and Nana Bruch in Glasgow, Montana and as a young child moved to Winchester, Idaho.
The family then moved to Clarkston, Washington in 1934 where Jesse operated a small dairy.
After graduating from Clarkston High School, Virginia attended college at Lewis-Clark Normal School (Lewis-Clark State College) then transferred to Washington State College (Washington State University).
Virginia moved to Spokane, Washington where she worked at Bell Telephone as a supervisor trainee.
While living and working in Spokane she met David, who was in the Army Air Forces and temporarily stationed at Geiger Field.
David and Virginia were married June 20, 1943 in Salinas, California.
Following WWII, David and Virginia settled in Spokane, Washington where David was employed by the Old National Bank.
David and Virginia embraced the faith of God as part of a world-wide Christian fellowship and opened their home for fellowship gatherings.
Virginia is survived by her sister, Eugenia Holt of Clarkston, Washington; sons, Richard (Marla) of Kennewick, Washington, Robert (Ruth) of Hillsborough, North Carolina; grandsons, Brandon Hoag of Walla Walla, Washington, Brian (Kara) Hoag of Richland, Washington; and granddaughters, Amy (Greg) Sloan of Boise, Idaho, Kimberly (Chris) Leeper of Roeland Park, Kansas, Megan (Todd) Williams of Olathe, Kansas; and twelve great-grandchildren.
There will be a public visitation at the Ball and Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, Washington, on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, and Friday, November, 7, 2014 from 9:00AM to 10:00 AM with a funeral service following at 10:00 AM.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM at the Vineland Cemetery, 1141 Vineland Dr., in Clarkston, Washington.
