Yard waste costs misstated

A graphic that ran on page A1 of Monday’s newspaper incorrectly stated the costs to dispose of yard waste at two facilities now run by the county, due to a reporter’s error. Yard waste at the North County and Valley transfer stations costs $47 per ton for disposal, with an additional 47 cents charged for each additional 20 pounds of waste.
