Obituary: Roberts, Kenneth J.

ROBERTS, Kenneth J. Kenneth J. Roberts, 68, passed away November 16, 2014 at Spokane Valley Hospital.

He had been fighting cancer for three years.

Born February 19, 1946 in Spokane, WA graduated from North Central High School in 1964 and later joined the Army and served for two years.

He earned a National Defense Service Medal and was recognized as a Marksman.

After being discharged from the Army, he pursued a career with Columbia Lighting for over 30 years, and then retired.

He enjoyed playing poker on the internet and watching football.

He had a big heart for his cats and took them everywhere with him.

He always had a great sense of humor even when times were tough for him.

He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his son, Ken and Gerri Roberts of Florida; son, BJ Roberts of Spokane WA; son Jim and Wendy Boyer of Colfax WA; son Rick and Tip Boyer of Coeur d’ Alene ID; son Dan Boyer of Spokane WA.

His has 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Selma and Harold Roberts and his loving wife Elizabeth “Sue” Roberts, who he will reunite with in Heaven.

A small family gathering will be held Monday, November 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Fairmount Memorial, 5200 W. Wellesley Avenue in Spokane, WA.
