The pass defense was nearly as bad as the offense was good. After holding California on the Golden Bears’ first three drives the Cougars gave up points on 10 of their next 11.

California’s Trevor Davis kept the Bears in the game thanks to four touchdowns. Two of them came from Goff in the passing game, and two came on 100-yard kickoff returns to answer WSU scores.
