Jim died peacefully on August 29, 1936 at Royal Park Care Center after a long illness.
Jim is survived by his wife Marilyn; sisters, Patricia Ellis, Mary Parkins; and brothers, Stuart (Joe) Hill and Bill (Linda) Chappell.
He married Carla Smith in 1957 and they raised eight children.
In 1983 he married Marilyn Harvey and acquired four more daughters - an even dozen.
His grieving children: Kathy Knight, Scott Hill, Kelly Hill, Patrick (Karen) Hill, Chris Hill, Shannon (Duane) Dawson, Kevin Hill, Robert (LaRane) Hill; step-daughters: Brenda (Jim) Fullmer, Leslie (Bruce) Nairine, Jill (Randy) Walker, who loved him as their own dad.
He had 29 grandchildren and numerous greats.
Jim’s great love was spending time with family at Priest Lake camping, boating and playing his guitar around the campfire.
He loved to go for long back-road drives.
Jim worked at Kaiser Mead as a maintenance foreman -Badge #3591- for 30 years and then Deaconess Hospital as a housekeeping supervisor for 15+ years.
He was a Boy Scout leader for troop 205 for several years and the President of Northland Federal Credit Union for many years.
Our thanks to his great doctors Jeff Collins, Saima Ahmad, Meredith Heick, Bruce Dentler and the wonderful staff at Royal Park especially Nurse Bill.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St Francis of Assisi Church 1104 W Heroy on Saturday, September 6th at 10am.
There will be a Celebration of Life following at the KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS 302 E BOONE.
