Obituary: Mathison, Timothy Michael “Tim”
Age 55
In his final days, Tim was surrounded by family and friends.
Born September 19, 1958 in Spokane, WA, he attended West Valley H.S., Spokane Community College and was a member of the Valley Bible Church.
Tim is survived by his wife, Karen Mathison of Greenacres, WA; his parents, Tom and Penny Mathison of Spokane Valley; his siblings, Tammy Adams, Todd (Beth) Mathison and Sabrina (Matt) Rust, all of Spokane Valley, WA; his children, Justin Mathison of Las Vegas, N.V. and Chad (Rachael) Mathison of Spokane Valley, WA; his stepchildren, Lenaya (Todd) Hogan of Liberty Lake, WA and Matthew (Kristy) Leon of Spokane Valley, WA; three grandchildren, Kobee Hogan, Kaylie Hogan and Maximus Leon, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tim worked for Metals Fabrication Company for 37 years.
Starting at the age of 19, he was given the opportunity to shine, and shine he did, eventually becoming a partner with the Weaver family in 2000.
As well as being a hard-worker, Tim played hard.
An outdoor enthusiast, sports coach for his children and two-time Ironman finisher, Tim always gave his best in all he did.
His competitive side was learned from his father, Tom; his love for everyone and for life came from his mother, Penny.
