Age 63
She died on August 24, 2014 at her home on Whidbey Island, Washington.
She graduated from the University of New Hampshire and Simmons School of Library Science.
She served as a librarian and library administrator in King, Stevens and Whatcom Counties in Washington, as well as in Oregon and Rhode Island.
She was founder and publisher of the Librarian’s Collection Letter.
She was a passionate advocate for libraries and literacy.
She was an active opponent of attempts to constrain or control public access to information.
She is survived by her son, Sam Kolyer of Kettle Falls, Washington; and brother, Anthony B. Robinson (Linda), of Seattle.
