Age 64

BURK, Bruce A.

(Age 64) Bruce A. Burk, of Coeur d’ Alene, ID, passed away, Saturday, Aug. 23 2014, at the place he loved.

Bruce was born November 4th, 1949, in Spokane.

He was the first born to parents Fred and Marge Burk.

Born and raised in the Spokane Valley.

He attended Mcdonald Elementary, Bowdish Junior High, and then graduated from Central Valley High School.

Next he went through four years at the University of Idaho.

After graduation from college, Bruce, and three other friends, loaded up a Ford Mustang, and headed to the great state of Alaska.

There he became a surveyor, and enjoyed the outdoors.

He spent several years there before moving back to Spokane.

Back in Spokane, he met Cindy Block.

They were married in 1975.

On September 3rd, 1980, Bruce and Cindy were blessed with Sean Aaron Burk.

Bruce worked for many years at Trudeau’s Marina in Spokane.

But his true love was flying, anything he could get into, he wanted to fly it.

He worked for several companies that dealt with aircraft parts and accessories.

He also was an avid snow skier, starting that at a very early age.

Didn’t matter where, if it had snow, he would ski it.

Through the years, he and Cindy lived in Wenatchee, Omak, and Gig Harbor, before finally moving back to Spokane.

On October 14th, 2012, he was blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Blair Alexandra, from his son Sean and wife Sarah.

Bruce spent his final years at the place he loved, the property at Rockford Bay.

Bruce is survived by son, Sean A. Burk; and his wife Sarah, of Coeur d’ Alene; and brother, Brian D. Burk, Duvall Wa.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at Rockford Bay, CDA, ID.
