Obituary: Fairchild, Arvel H.
Age 84
Arvel was born December 16, 1929 in Mount Vernon, WA.
Soon his family moved to Coeur d’Alene, ID where he grew up and graduated from high school.
Arvel received his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Idaho and his Master’s degree in horticulture at Colorado State.
Arvel lived life to the fullest.
He was passionate about music from playing the harmonica, piano, organ and accordion.
He loved singing, dancing, gardening, growing flowers, hiking, camping, photography and he was an avid rock collector.
He was adventurous and fun.
He would do anything for anyone.
We are all better people for knowing, loving, being influenced by and having Arvel as a member of our family.
Arvel is preceded in death by his father, John Fairchild, and his mother, Margaret.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl, of Medical Lake; his son, John, of Spokane Valley; a daughter, Anne, of Madison, Indiana; ten stepchildren and many grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Horizon Hospice for their excellent care and kindness; especially Christian, Nancy, Lori, Robert and Darren.

A Graveside Service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00am at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815.
