Obituary: Baker, Jack Thomas

BAKER, Jack Thomas (Age 83) Of Spokane, WA, passed away September 14, 2014.

Jack was born in Colorado Springs, CO to Walter and Katherine Baker.

He graduated from Nampa High School, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from College of Idaho, a degree in Electrical Engineering from WSU and a MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Jack served in the US Air Force for 21 years in a variety of positions across the country and world.

He retired with the rank of Lt.

Colonel in 1973.

He continued to work in aerospace.

Jack was a devoted sportsman and an accomplished golfer.

He was a basketball fan, especially the Lakers.

He was an avid reader on a wide variety of topics.

Jack is survived by his wife, Joyce, his sons from his first marriage, Steve and Tom, a sister, Lillian Behrens-Holleman, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial will be held at 6pm, Sunday, September 21st at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
