Obituary: Pearson, Lillian D.

Age 85

PEARSON, Lillian D. Our precious mother, Lillian D. (Skalstad) Pearson left us to join her husband, Jack, September 17, 2014.

She was born July 26, 1929 in Grand Forks, North Dakota was the fourth of six children born to Christian and Karly Skalstad.

Lillian was raised in Grand Forks until the family moved to Spokane in 1944.

Lillian graduated from Lewis & Clark High School.

She met and fell in love with Vern (Jack) Pearson and the two married on April 16, 1949.

A year later she gave birth to twins, Gary and Linda.

And four years later Daniel was born and three years later Nancy joined the family.

Lillian had the joy of being a stay at home mom, raising her family and being a wife to the love of her life.

She was dedicated to her family and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack of 51 years, a sister, Doris Moser and two brothers, Robert and Richard Skalstad.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Molly) Pearson, Linda (Steve) Belton, Daniel Pearson all of Spokane, and Nancy Chase of Federal Way; a brother Raymond Skalstad, and a sister, Marlys Skalstad, both of Spokane; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank Kathy Benton and Horizon Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to mom.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Sunset Chapel, Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm.
