Obituary: Schramm, Jeff D.
Age 53
He was born March 4, 1961 to Roger and June Schramm.
He went to Shadle Park High School in Spokane.
Jeff was a sharp, strong, athletic guy, loved by all.
He had a heart for the Lord.
He was self taught in most areas, although inspired by his father’s work ethics.
He ran a construction company for several decades, specializing in remodels, kitchens, baths, tile, decks and shops.
His workmanship was second to none.
He had great love for his family, his church and his friends.
He was a master chef, always creating great ways to serve smoked meats.
He had a secret biscuits and gravy recipe that everyone loved.
He loved to make people happy.
He played football and baseball as a boy and made it to the rank of Life in the Boy Scouts.
He learned to water ski by standing on his Uncle Jack’s feet on the bindings.
He became a great skier but was particularly good at the air chair.
He excelled in motor sports where he became an excellent rider of dirt bikes, three wheelers, quads, road bikes, jet skis, ski boats and snowmobiles, all which he loved.
He had the agility and balance that few possessed.
He was really excited about his Hole in One at #17 Wandermere this summer.
He loved spending time at his place on the Pend Oreille River.
He dipped into a dark part of his life as a nasty addiction took a hold of him for several years.
He pulled himself out of that gutter, was baptized, then became a great mentor to others in his church and the community and a better man than he had ever been before.
He had been clean for eight years and always attributed that to God’s grace.
Jeff loved the Lord.
Jeff’s last act of selflessness was to give his heart, liver and kidneys, and more, so others could live.
He will be greatly missed by many as so many considered him to be their friend.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and several aunts and uncles, all who stood with the Lord and greeted him saying “Welcome home, my great and faithful servant”.
He is survived by his mother June Everly; his wife and best friend Julie; his daughters Kristina and Cortnie, Jodie (their mother) and her entire family; Julie’s daughters Robin and Laura (Jake); his siblings (nieces, nephews): Vicki Stradley (Gary; April, Sean, Amber); Joni Marler (Lewie; Renee, Randy, Jeff, Linda); Roger (Leslie; Kaitlyn, Derek, Cory, Robin, Tad); Lori Wheeles; Kris (Nina; Lexi, Johannah) and many other great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 2:00 in the afternoon at Life Center North Church at 8303 N. Division 99208.
Immediately following will be a time to share stories and memories of Jeff at the Service Station, 9315 N. Nevada Street, 99218.
