Obituary: Mcgarvey, Jacqueline E. “Jackie”

McGARVEY, Jacqueline E. “Jackie” Entered into rest September 17, 2014, at the age of 65.

Jacqueline was born to her beloved parents, Walter and Hazel Roe, in Joliet Illinois.

Following the death of her father, Jacqueline and her family relocated to the Pacific Northwest where she met Michael McGarvey, married, and had three children.

She attended SCC, where she obtained the clerical skills she utilized throughout her career in the Spokane area.

At the age of 45, Jackie was faced with life-altering medical challenges.

For the following 20 years, she remained a bright light to all who knew her.

Her inspiring faith, patience and strength, will always be remembered by all.

Jackie enjoyed spontaneous road trips, warm campfires, beautiful sunsets and fishing.

But above all, she enjoyed moments with family and friends.

Jackie’s family would like to express deep gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Deaconess, Dr. Daniel Coulston and staff, and many other for their unwavering and compassionate care throughout the years which gave us more time with her.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Richard and Donald; and her beloved pets, Boo Dog and Spikey.

She is survived by her three siblings, Rose Marie, Mickey and Al; her children, Robert McGarvey, Stacie McGarvey and Cari Meredith; her grandchildren, Christina, Ashli, Anthony, Craig, Zachary, Shawn and Spenser; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brooklynn, Cameron and soon to be born Macie Jo.

A Celebration of Jackie’s Life Gathering will be held on October 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., at Dinki Di’s Hauser Lake Resort, 18226 W. Main St., Hauser, Idaho 83854.

The Celebration is a pot-luck style barbecue, and all are encouraged to bring a dish and a favorite photo.
