Obituary: Ainslie, Dorothy Jean Robinson
Age 90
Dorothy was a resident of Spokane, Washington for over 65 years.
Her parents were Lee P. and Harriette L. Robinson.
Dorothy graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1942 and was Valedictorian of her class.
She attended Reed College, Portland, Oregon from 1942 - 1944.
She graduated from Fort Wright College of the Holy Names in 1977 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Dorothy was a talented landscape artist, sculptor, and quilter who exhibited her work in the Spokane area during the 1960s and 70s, and continued her work until her death.
She is survived by her children: Bruce P. Ainslie, Jean A.
(Ainslie) Brumbley, and Kirk J. Ainslie; grandchildren: Kristi (Ainslie) Buescher, Sarah Brumbley, Jean (Ainslie) Aguirre, Robb Ainslie, and Erin Ainslie; great-grandchildren: Sicily Hernandez, Cayle Buescher, Megan and Simon Aguirre, Erica and Elliot Ainslie, and Austin, Isabelle and Ethan Ainslie.
Dorothy is also survived by her sister Harriette (Robinson) Small, of Corvallis, Oregon, and her brother Richard Robinson of Salt Lake City, Utah, status unknown.
She was preceded in death by her sister Phyllis June (Robinson) (Klicker) Smedes of Phoenix, Oregon.
There will be no immediate memorial service.
The family suggests that any memorials be sent to the Good Samaritan Society - Spokane Valley, 17121 E. 8th Ave., Spokane Valley, WA 99016.
The family is extremely grateful for the wonderful care and assistance Dorothy received from all the staff at the Good Samaritan home where she resided since late February of this year.
