Obituary: Christianson, Robert D.

Age 66

CHRISTIANSON, Robert D. Our knight in shining armor fought the good fight and lost his battle with Cancer on March 24, 2015.

Rob passed away peacefully in his home with his loved ones and friends surrounding him.

Robert D. Christianson was born on November 10, 1948 to Ralph and Grace Christianson in Great Falls, MT and relocated with his family to Spokane, WA where he resided until his passing.

Rob is preceded in death by his parents - Ralph and Grace Christianson and sister Carla Scott.

Rob leaves behind one brother - Jack Christianson and six sisters - Viola Siegel, Charlotte Fager, Dora Matthews, Gloria Tarhuni, Elvira Christianson and Tina Lee.

Rob served his country in the Vietnam War and when he returned home began his career at the VA Hospital in Spokane for 31 yrs.

Rob loved to camp, fish and spend time in the mountains.

He loved to cook and, most of all, spend time with family and friends.

Rob was an amazing person with a true heart of gold, which was evident in his daily interactions with all whom knew him.

We will remember Rob for his ever present smile and enthusiasm for life.

A brief tribute to Rob will be held at Washington State Veterans Cemetery on April 10th at 1:00 pm at 21702 W. Espanola Rd., Medical Lake, WA.
