Obituary: Hobbs, Bryan J., Jr.

Age 77

HOBBS, Bryan J., Jr. Bryan “Jim” Hobbs entered into rest surrounded by his family and his beloved angels on March 28, 2015.

Born on December 27, 1937, to Bryan and Mary Hobbs.

He was the oldest of three children.

He is survived by his siblings, Gwen Skierka and Carolyn Rohr.

He graduated from West Valley High School in 1955 and went on to join the Navy.

He was the father of seven children namely: Madonna, Marie, Jay, Mariam, Perthena, Don and Yvonne.

He was employed by Good Smaritan Home where he met the love his life Judy.

They celebrated nearly 25 years of married life.

Together they raised beautiful vegetable gardens and shared all the fruits of their labor with grateful family and friends.

He created a variety of spices and baked goods and loved working in the kitchen.

Jim was a lover of animals, watching football or other sports on TV.

He was a hard worker and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to thank Spokane Hospice for their loving care in Jim’s final days battling his fight with cancer.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 304 S. Adams Road in Spokane Valley.
