Obituary: Morris, Barbara
Age 79
Barbara was raised in Wallace, Idaho and upon graduation from high school she moved to Spokane.
In Spokane she met and married James L. Morris in 1953.
Jim and Barbara had two children, Steve and Scott.
She was a legal secretary for many years as well as a bookkeeper for a local doctor.
Inspired by her Aunt Dorothy, Barbara became an accomplished painter.
Barbara also was an avid reader and there was not a New York Times crossword puzzle she could not finish with in the “par time”.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Morris, son, Stephen J. Morris, sister Angela M. Brown and nephew, Anthony Brown.
She is survived by her son Scott L. (Liz) Morris; grandchildren Katie, Joe, Anna and Matt Morris; great-grandchildren Asa and Lola Thorne; and niece Amy Quintanilla.
Barbara’s kind heart and generosity will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A private service will be held at Jesuit House Chapel on the Gonzaga University campus Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
