Obituary: Neumann, Sharon N.

NEUMANN, Sharon N. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing on April 1, 2015 of our beloved sister, Sharon.

She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in San Diego, CA.

Born August 12, 1951, Sharon lived most of her early years on the family farm near Spangle, WA.

After earning her BA from EWU she began a career in advertising and marketing.

She worked for Safeway Inc in Spokane, Oakland & Washington D. C. before joining Pepsi-Cola back in Spokane l981-86 and in San Diego l988-1991.

Sharon then changed careers and earned her teaching degree.

She taught English & Journalism at Granite Hills H.S.

in El Cajon, CA before moving into counseling work at Granite Hills and then Grossmont Middle College HS.

Teaching and living in San Diego were her two large loves and she was excellent at both.

She loved animals, particularly her dog Ruby and cockatiel Buddy.

She is survived by her sisters, Roxanne Everett, Post Falls ID; Jaime Neumann in New York and three brothers Gordon, Kurt and Jeff Clausen of Spokane.

A small family and friends celebration of her life will be held Sunday April 19, 2015.

Those who knew Sharon well and are interested in attending should email for time and location.

The family suggests donations to the charity of your choice in memory of Sharon.
