She slipped away from us at home in Spokane, Washington on April 3, 2015, surrounded by her family who loved her beyond measure.
Allyn Marie lived a hard life challenged by physical and mental disabilities that would have crumpled those without her courage and determination.
She graduated in 1969 from North Central High School, and completed her degree in Psychology in 1974 from Central Washington University.
She was smarter than most of us, and cut a deep path through the medical and mental health communities as she fought to live her life on her own terms.
She beat us at “Kings Corner” regularly.
She was our fashionista wardrobe advisor and provider of fine jewelry and accessories.
She had a wicked sense of humor that levelled us all, and a beautiful smile that made us fall in love.
We all succumbed, over and over.
She was preceded in death by her father James C. Richards, and brother-in-law Robert Calvo.
She is survived by her mother, Mary L. Richards; sister Patricia, brother James, and sister Catherine; nephew Joshua and family Nathan and Gracie.
Allyn Marie is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who hold her memory dear.
So, Lynnie-Honey, flights of angels sing thee to thy rest, where we will all meet again.
