Obituary: Anderson, Lee Edward

Age 71

ANDERSON, Lee Edward Our beloved brother, husband, father, and grandfather passed away on April 14, 2015 at the age of 71.

Lee was born in Logan, Utah on August 7, 1943.

Shortly thereafter, the family moved back to Spokane.

He graduated from Mead High School in 1962.

Upon graduation, Lee joined Local 82 Insulators working in the field traveling in the Northwest.

Several years later, he went to E J Bartells as an estimator/superintendent and contract manager.

He ended his career returning to the Local until his retirement in 2004.

Lee has two children, Ken and Melissia from his first marriage to Dorothy Stovall.

Lee later married the love of his life, Linda Sheeks, which extended his family to include stepdaughters Kerri (Sheeks) Lenderman, Lisa (Sheeks) Richmond, and Chris Sheeks.

Lee and Linda have enjoyed the last 35 years centered around family and friends.

Lee grew up racing motorcycles at the Stateline and running motor cross races.

He loved the years that he and his father hunted deer and elk and fished at Neah Bay.

Lee enjoyed snowmobiling and camping at lakes with family and friends.

One of his favorite vacations was to go for crabs and clams at Ft. Flagler State Park where not only did he travel in his RV, but took along a large tent to put all the toys he and Linda brought for the grandchildren.

In later years, the grandchildren loved coming to “Camp Grandpa and Grandma” and riding the motorcycles, four wheeler, golf cart, and swimming.

Thank you for your guidance, love, and support through the years.

You were always there whenever anyone needed a helping hand.

You leave us with fond memories and funny stories.

We love you very much and know that you will be watching over us.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara (Bobbee) and Leon Anderson and son, Ken.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of Chattaroy WA; daughter, Melissia (Mark) McCullough of Stanwood WA, stepdaughters Kerri (Tom) Lenderman of Bellingham, WA, stepdaughter Lisa (Jim) Richmond of San Ramon, CA and stepson Chris (Shannon) Sheeks of Snoqualmie, WA.

He loved his grandchildren and was so proud of all of them; Kennedy, Hannah, Christian, Brittany, Taylor, Grace, Andrew, Alex, Ella, Emma and Drew.

He is also survived by his brother, Larry (Sally) Anderson and sister, Lynn (Dale) Vig both of Spokane, three nieces and two nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22nd at the Open Door Congregational Church, 205 N. Main, Deer Park with the Reverend Dan Berg officiating.

Reception will follow at the Deer Park Course Pavilion, 1205 A Country Club Drive.
