Obituary: Pecnick, William

Age 87

PECNICK, William (Age 87) Was born to John and Theresa (Singer) Pecnick on March 11, 1928 in Forest Grove, OR and passed away on April 17, 2015 in Spokane.

William spent his early childhood years on a dairy farm in Toledo, OR.

His family then moved to Ione, WA where Will attended school, playing football and baseball for the local high school.

He later worked for the Forest Service in the area.

Willie married Ida June Pardun in September 1951 and started their family in Spokane, WA.

Will worked for Central Premix for 37 years.

In his retirement, he enjoyed thrift store shopping and collecting baseball cards.

He was an avid Gonzaga basketball fan and enjoyed watching professional basketball and baseball.

Willie loved playing bingo with his friends at Royal Park Retirement Community and always had a silly joke or story for you.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ida, son Leroy, and daughter Ann.

He is survived by son-in-law Randy Bowers, granddaughter Cindy Hawk, and great-grandchildren Mason and Maggie.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.
