Jimmie was born in Spokane, WA on April 18, 1931 to William and Helen Morlan.
He had no siblings but many friends and relatives.
He was married on November 22, 1952 to Shirley Ann Morlan.
Jim attended North Central High School, Eastern Washington College, and Whitworth College where he earned a Masters Degree in Education.
He taught high school at Moses Lake for one year and the rest of his teaching career he taught business and DECA at Shadle Park High School in Spokane where he retired in 1986.
He won many awards.
He enjoyed sailing, archery, war history and model railroading.
Jimmie is survived by his spouse Shirley Morlan; and son Jeffrey Morlan (Colleen) of White Rock, BC, Canada.
He lost his younger son, Greg Morlan on August 18, 2013.
He is also survived by his grandaughter, Naomi Morlan of London, England.
He has many cousins, neices and nephews.
Jim was an easy going, kind man, with a great sense of humor.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Graveside interment is at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery in Anacortes, WA.
A memorial for Jim will be held in the middle of June.
