Obituary: Prentice, Carrie Eliza

PRENTICE, Carrie Eliza (Age 91) Carrie Eliza Prentice, of Spokane WA, formerly of Hancock and McDonough Counties Illinois, passed away July 27, 2015 at her home in Spokane.

She was born on June 13 1924 in Hancock County to Alpheus Homer and Eliza Minerva Prentice.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Ella, Elma, Vernon, George, Paul and Richmond.

Carrie is survived by two sisters-in-law, Frieda Prentice of Macomb, Illinois, and MaryLea Prentice of Pittsfield, Illinois; and her adopted family, Patty and Randy Meck of Spokane, and Jessica White and her family.

Carrie is also survived my numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, and visited often.

Carrie graduated from Colchester High School; received her Bachelors in Business Education from Western Illinois University; then her Masters Degree in Guidance Counseling.

Carrie taught at Plymouth High School in Illinois, she also taught in Caldwell Idaho, and Deer Park High School.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Unity Center, 2900 S Barnard, on August 29th at 10am.

Burial will follow in Illinois, at Majorville Cemetary in Illinois.

Memorials can be made to Hancock Township town fund for perpetual care of the Majorville Cemetary.
