Obituary: Barber, Frank Blair

Age 91

BARBER, Frank Blair Passed away August 24, 2015 at the age of 91.

The son of Roy and Frances Barber, he was born April 29, 1924 in Fox, OR.

He was in the Army Air Corps from 1943-1945 as a B-25 pilot.

In the fall of 1943 Frank married Lois Binkley of Wilder, ID.

They moved to Marcus, WA where he worked at the US Gypsum Plant in Evans, WA, followed by Kaiser Aluminum, then leased Singers Junction in Kettle Falls in 1956.

In 1958 Frank moved his family to Spokane to work at the Army & Air Force Exchange Service.

In 1970, he started his private business of accounting until he retired.

Frank spent his retirement years researching family genealogy which included six books of research and documentation on his family.

He is survived by his wife Lois; children Butch Barber and Helen of Chattaroy, Chris Weatherly and husband Garry of Welton, AZ, and Candie Barber of Kirkland, WA; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held Friday, August 28th from 10am-5pm at Heritage Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 1pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N. Government Way, Spokane.
