Obituary: Cline, Nick B.
Nick was adopted at an early age by Orlan and Bessie Cline of Spokane.
In his younger years, Nick started showing a strong interest with anything on wheels.
After high school, Nick entered the army and headed off to Louisiana.
Upon finishing the army, Nick returned to Spokane and settled down, starting a family and having a son, Nick and a daughter, Angela.
Nick was employed at Kaiser Mead, retiring in 1996 after 30 years of service.
As a young adult, Nick could be found at the fairgrounds driving some old jalopy in a circle, or at the Deer Park drags.
Nick married his wife Linda in 1988.
The two of them shared many wonderful moments cruising in something, going nowhere, but maybe somewhere, always with a group of fellow hot rodders.
Throughout Nick’s life, he was on a quest to own as many cars as possible (wife begins intervention).
He loved cars, all of them, whether it be a hot rod, custom, street rod, or muscle car.
Nick was a proud member of the Duke’s Auto Club, as well as others.
Nick also enjoyed playing a mean game of racquet ball with friends.
Nick did not want a memorial.
In his final week, Nick asked that he simply be remembered as “Cruizin’ on down the road, left arm hanging out of the window (top not necessarily down), Linda and Shelby by his side, a smile on his face, and knowing that all is right in the world.”
REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND.
YOU WILL BE MISSED.
