Obituary: Parsons, Roy Alexander

Age 41

PARSONS, Roy Alexander (Age 41) Roy Alexander Parsons, of Spokane, died at his home on August 19th.

Roy was born at Balboa Naval Hospital, San Diego, California on April 8, 1974.

He was the son of Gary Lee Parsons and Nancy Wetherby Parsons.

The family left California shortly after his birth and moved to Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

Moses Lake and Ephrata Washington was the family’s next move in 1991.

Roy spent his early adult years in Eastern Washington.

He married Crystal Hammond and they made a home in Kennewick, Washington.

Daughter, Ivy was born in nearby Finley.

Roy was a hands on guy and worked many jobs.

He moved to Spokane in 2012 following his divorce.

Roy worked for Senske in Kennewick and for Spokane Produce in Spokane.

He obtained his CDL and drove oil trucks in North and South Dakota.

He found a dream job driving trucks for the North by Northwest production of “Z Nation”.

A family viewing was held at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home on Saturday, August 22nd.

A Celebration was held that day at his parents’ home.

Many family, friends and coworkers attended.

Roy is survived by his parents, Gary and Nancy Parsons of Spokane; his daughter, Ivy, of Meridian, ID; sisters, Christy Dodge (Mark) and Abby of Spokane; and brothers, Joe, James and Andy of Spokane; and Mary Fosvick, of Ramsey, MN; nephews, Cody and Nathan and niece, Lua, also of Spokane.

Extended family include: Aunt Leah Wetherby of Wauconda, IL; cousins, Michelle Rudisill of Gates, NC and Charlotte Bogenski, of Mundelein, IL.

Also many more aunts, uncles and cousins living across the states.
