Obituary: Siedenburg, Jim R.

Age 87

SIEDENBURG, Jim R. (Age 87) Jim was born February 28, 1928 to John and Mable Siedenburg in Holyoke, CO.

He graduated in 1946 from Holyoke High School.

Jim Joined the Army Air Corps in August of 1950 and was stationed at Fairchild AFB, after basic training and Tech School where he met his future wife Lila Laverne Morigeau.

They were married at the Hitching Post in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho on January 29, 1953.

He had a long career in the Air Force, starting as a Gunner in B36’s and changing to B52’s in 1956.

After a long and decorated combat career, he served as the 1st Seargent of various squadrons, ending back at Fairchild AFB where he retired in September 1977.

Jim’s life was family focused, his generosity had no boundaries, his greatest joy in life was to be able to help and give to others.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents John and Mabel Siedenburg of Holyoke, Colorado; his brothers Wesley Siedenburg of Holyoke and Theodore E. Siedenburg of Johnstown, Colorado.

He is survived by his wife Lila L. Siedenburg; daughters Renee C. Siedenburg and Michele G. Siedenburg of Spokane Valley, and Janine M. Sears of Redmond, Washington; brother Harvey E. Siedenburg; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 at 1:30pm at The Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Rd., Medical Lake, WA, 99022.

It is important to arrive 15 minutes prior to the service.
