People: Actor James Cromwell escorted from NY event for heckling

Actor James Cromwell was one of two people escorted from an upstate New York business event for protesting an award given to an energy company.
The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reported the 75-year-old actor whose work includes “Babe” and “L.A. Confidential” was removed from the Tuesday event in New Windsor when he and Pramilla Malick began heckling the award presented to CPV Valley Energy Center.
Cromwell and Malick said the company’s natural gas-fired electricity plant being built in a nearby town is a dangerous polluter threatening the environment and the people living there.
Cromwell was nominated for an Academy Award for best supporting actor for 1995’s “Babe,” which ends with his farmer character telling the film’s star, “That’ll do, pig. That’ll do.”

Among the beauty products, housewares and other goods selected by Paltrow for the shop is a playful collection of sparkly, star-adorned dresses, jackets, sneakers and accessories from Valentino creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli for the capsule collection dubbed Valentino x goop.
Paltrow said she enjoyed Thanksgiving with her “consciously uncoupled” ex Chris Martin and their kids, along with singing on Coldplay’s track “Everglow” from the upcoming album.
“We had a really nice time,” she said.
