Obituary: Blanton, Darel M.

BLANTON, Darel M. Darel died peacefully at home from illnesses that took him quickly from his loving family and friends.

He will be remembered fondly for his infectious smile, wonderful sense of humor and kindness.

For him, life was about enjoying the journey, not just the destination.

Darel is survived by his wife Bonnie, his children; Darren (Kay) Blanton, Denise (Lloyd) Blanton, Darlene (David) O’Keeffe and grand- children Brian, Harlan, Beth, Nicole and Vaughn and great-grand- children.

He is also survived by siblings and families from the Mid-West including; Tish (Larry) Martindale, (Richard (Judy) Blanton and Larry (Twilla) Blanton and many loved nieces and nephews.

Darel was close to his cousins, Kenny Richey and Jim Simmons as well as lots of friends whom he considered family.

The Blanton family would like to thank Dr. Anthony and Evergreen Hematology staff, Dr. Butler, Dr. Greene, and Dr.

Trail for their medical expertise and care.

Thank you to Horizon Hospice for helping Darel and his family through his last days.
