Obituary: Orland, Jacqueline M.

ORLAND, Jacqueline M. (Age 89) Passed away peacefully on January 20, 2015 at her home at Rockwood South Hill.

She was born in Spokane, Washington on May 9, 1925.

Jackie lived in Spokane most of her life.

She is predeceased by her parents Carl G. Miller and Elizabeth Bullen Miller and her brother, Gregory Miller.

Jackie was a graduate of Eastern State College, which is now Eastern Washington University and a member of the Chi Omega sorority.

She was employed in the Spokane County prosecutor’s office in the 1950’s.

She was a professional writer and her articles appeared in many magazines.

Jackie was also an avid gardener and was very proud of her prized Asiatic lilies.

She was married to the former Dean and law professor at Gonzaga University School of Law, Professor Lewis Orland.

A memorial service will be held at Rockwood South Hill, The Ridge social hall, 2903 E. 25th Ave. at 3 PM, February 4, 2015.

Jackie was a meticulous record keeper and has wonderful photo albums and scrap books which will be available to view at the service for everyone to remember her rich and active life.
