Power out at Rogers H.S., students released

Rogers High School’s students are being sent home after the building lost power about 9 a.m. Avista Utilities recently indicated that power will not be restored to the school until later this afternoon, said a Spokane Public Schools spokesman. Buses have arrived will to take students home. “School administrative staff will be on hand throughout the rest of the afternoon until power is fully restored,” said spokesman Ryan Lancaster. “Parents of Rogers students were notified via Bright Arrow at approximately 11:25.”
