Dingus, Zarecor & Associates PLLC has hired Shayna Zerobnick as a staff accountant. Zerobnick graduated from Whitworth University with a bachelor of arts in accounting. The firm has also promoted Shaun Johnson from senior manager to partner and Clint Moquist from staff accountant to senior accountant. Johnson is a certified public accountant who works with health care and public sector organizations. Moquist is a graduate of Eastern Washington University and works with health care and nonprofit organizations.

Law

Lara Hemingway has joined the Spokane office of K&L Gates LLP as a counsel attorney. Hemingway’s practice focuses on employee benefits and executive compensation. Previously, she served as associate general counsel for Sterling/Umpqua Bank and as a partner at a local law firm.

Kutak Rock LLP has named attorney Roy J. Koegen as a partner based in the firm’s Spokane office. Koegen’s practice focuses on municipal finance and municipal law. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

The American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys (AIOPIA) has recognized attorney John R. Layman as a 2015 “10 Best Personal Injury Attorney for Client Satisfaction” for Washington state. Layman was selected based on client and/or peer nominations, thorough research, and AIOPIA’s independent evaluation.

Nonprofit

John Lemus, the community relations facilitator with SKILS`KIN, has been recognized by SourceAmerica with the 2014 Tom Miller Award for Advocacy. This award is given to a SourceAmerica affiliated agency employee who has demonstrated outstanding achievement and self-advocacy. Lemus has been on the board of directors for the advocacy group “People First of Washington” since 2009.

Partnering for Progress has announced that Carla Altepeter, of Numerica Credit Union, Carol Miller, a retired advanced registered nurse practitioner, and Ashley Lenz, of the Bank of Coeur d’Alene, have joined the organization’s board of directors.

Greater Spokane Incorporated has promoted Drew Repp to business development and international trade manager, Maria Vandervert to vice president of marketing and communications and Tammy Pruitt to graphics and publications manager. The organization has also hired Tricia Webster as marketing and communications manager, Carsen Quinnett as events manager, Jessica Rule as events coordinator and Isaac Lanctot as a membership account manager.

The American Childhood Cancer Organization Inland Northwest has named Sarah Brown as the executive director of the organization.

Providence Health Care Foundation Eastern Washington has hired Jennifer Hicks and Margie Scammell-Renner as development directors and Carol Bonino as grant development and research specialist. Hicks was previously director of development for the Spokane Symphony Society. Scammell-Renner was previously a community relationship manager with the American Cancer Society. Bonino was previously with Gonzaga University for more than 26 years.
