Obituary: Jeffers, Elaine

JEFFERS, Elaine Elaine Jeffers, Spokane WA, passed away on January 22, 2015.

She was proceeded in death by her mother Eleanor (Dahmen) Snyder and her father Robert “Cecil” Rhoades.

Elaine was a resilient, talented lady who loved life.

She was artistic and took pride in her first job as a photographer’s assistant, manually retouching and colorizing black and white photos.

She was a model and a finalist in the Miss Spokane County Lilac Festival from Mary Cliff High School.

In her younger years she was a member of the Sweet Adelines Chorus, lady’s guild at St. John’s Cathedral, Pages of Harmony auxiliary and Washington State Jaycee auxiliary.

Elaine was a founding co-owner of Litho Art Printers in Spokane.

Hobbies included golfing, snow skiing and hosting parties and family events.

She loved participating in the activities where she lived and, ever the hostess, was a part of the welcoming committee there.

Elaine was devoted to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Edward Jeffers, Shelley Jeffers, Christy Jeffers, Robin Rickey (Pat) and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be presented in her name to Hospice of Spokane, 121 South Arthur, Spokane, WA 99202 for their compassionate care.
