Obituary: Lemaster, Ross

LEMASTER, Ross Ross LeMaster, age 74, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 3rd, with his wife of 52 years by his side.

He passed as a result of a brain tumor.

Born February 19th, 1940 in Cheyenne, WY, he grew up in Parkland, WA and eventually settled in Spokane, where he and Carrie raised their family.

Ross was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for 45 years.

For nearly 20 years he led worship services and ministered to the residents at Sullivan Park Nursing Care Facility.

He also enjoyed volunteering at Mission Community Outreach Center.

Ross retired at age 60 as Branch Manager of Performance Contracting, Inc., and spent the remainder of his life passionately serving the Lord and others as well as seeking adventure: riding and packing mules/horses, motorcycle riding, skiing, climbing mountains and traveling.

But his greatest joy was spending time with family and those he loved.

He will be missed by his wife, Carrie; sons, Bill LeMaster (Juli: Anne and Ross), and Mike LeMaster (Marcus and Britney/Kyle); daughters, Brenda Hux (Tom: Victor/Sydney, Thomas and Luke), and Ingrid Miller (Mark: Max and Maggie); siblings, MaryAlice Bauder (Harold), Sigrid Probst (Clifford) and John LeMaster (Susan); mother- in-law Helen Meyer, and many more valued family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Alice LeMaster and his father-in-law Edgar Meyer.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 14th at 11am.

Lunch and memories to be shared afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any contributions to honor him be sent to Redeemer Lutheran Church for Vacation Bible School (3606 S. Shafer Rd., Spokane Valley, 99206) or to Mission Community Outreach Center (1906 E. Mission Ave., Spokane, 99220).
