Four corners: Idaho Vandals
Coming up: Tonight vs. Portland State, 7 p.m.; Saturday vs. Sacramento State, 7 p.m.
Outlook: The Vandals accomplished one goal during a trip to the state of Montana by winning their first conference road game of the season last Thursday with an 80-71 triumph at Montana State. Still, at 4-6 in conference play, the Vandals find themselves sitting in eighth place, only a half-game ahead of the qualifying line to earn a berth in the Big Sky tournament. Avenging losses to Portland State and Sacramento State would be a great place to start for Idaho to gain some ground on the middle-tier teams. The Vikings shot 55 percent on shots inside the 3-point line in an 85-73 win over the Vandals in Portland. Sacramento State’s Mikh McKinney dropped 32 points in a 79-76 win over the Vandals in Sacramento.
