Obituary: Hamann, Wayne Irving
Age 91
He was born on September 5, 1923 in Boyceville, Wisconsin to Irving and Lillian Shepard Hamann.
He graduated from Rogers High School, and went into the 3 C’s during the depression.
He married Dalice Gay, with whom he remained lifelong friends after their divorce.
They had one son, Dennis.
He and Dennis enjoyed many fishing outings and hunting trips to the Blue Mountains.
Wayne married Phyllis Moad in1954.
They had one daughter, Debbie.
They enjoyed boating, water skiing and scuba diving at Coeur d’Alene Lake, skiing at Schweitzer, and camping on the Oregon Coast.
He and Phyllis bowled on a league up the time of his death.
Wayne retired as an engineer from Burlington Northern Railroad.
He was preceded in death by an infant son Mark, sisters Mae and June, brothers Dewey, Lowell, and Allen.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis, son Dennis, daughter Debbie (Phil) Collaer, grandchildren Dennis Hamann, Jr., Paige and Brooke Collaer, and brother Larry.
