Obituary: Oxendahl, Valerie Kay

Age 62

OXENDAHL, Valerie Kay (Age 62) Valerie Kay Oxendahl, of Valleyford, WA, passed away Sunday, February 22nd, 2015 at her home after a ten-month battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond C. Larson, and brother Gary R. Larson.

Val is survived by her loving husband Stan Oxendahl; daughter Kari (Tony) Mathews and their children Andrew, Braden, Elise, and Joshua; daughter Ingrid (Daniel) Todhunter and their children Esther, Silas, and Brigitta; mother Leona Larson of Williston, ND; brother David (Julie) Larson of The Villages, FL; sister Naomi (Orlin) Rogness of Lakeville, MN; brother James (Susan) Larson of Williston, ND; sister Carla (Ron) Oster of Grenora, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Val was born on December 16th, 1952 in Williston, ND and was raised on her family farm.

Val and Stan were married on May 19th, 1972 and moved to the Spokane, WA area in 1985.

Val was passionate in her role as mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

Val worked as a secretary, bank teller, and self employed decorating contractor.

Val was loved deeply by all who knew her, and had a deep love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Celebration of her Life will be held on Thursday, February 26th, 2015 at 11:00 o’clock am at Valleyford Community Church, 13015 South Madison Road, Valleyford, WA, 99306.
