Obituary: Fennimore, Donald Joseph “Dj”
Age 62
DJ was born January 10, 1953 in LaCrosse to Marion “Curley” and Esther (Dulski) Fennimore.
He grew up in LaCrosse and graduated from LaCrosse High School.
Following graduation DJ went to work on the Fennimore ranch with his father and his cousin Doug Fennimore.
He later spent time working at Central Ferry and also drove truck hauling rodeo stock and cattle.
Another occupation was that of volunteer firefighter.
DJ was a friend to all and helped everyone whenever he could.
He was devoted to his LaCrosse community and was an enthusiastic supporter of high school basketball, particularly his hometown team.
DJ was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors; he received great enjoyment from guiding friends on hunting trips.
DJ was a fixture in the community and never met a stranger; he was known for his acts of kindness and generosity, as well as his laugh and sense of humor, and he will be sorely missed.
DJ is survived by his cousins Doug and Jackie Fennimore; Lisa and Josh VonMoos and their children Jonathan, Matthew, Karlee and Ashlee; Cindy and K.C.
Warner and their children Laura and Kristin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the LaCrosse Cemetery in LaCrosse, WA.
A reception will follow at the LaCrosse Community Hall.
