Music mission: Zuill Bailey, artistic director of the 37th Northwest Bach Festival, plays a 1693 cello for an audience of 90 people seated in Judge Salvatore Cozza’s Spokane County Courthouse jury box and gallery. “Not a lot of beauty happens in a place like this,” Bailey told the audience. The performance was one of the “Flash-Bach” free noon concerts around Spokane. The festival, running through March 8, will feature four classic concerts, six twilight tours and six Flash-Bach events that are announced the day of the shows on the festival’s Facebook page. Next week will offer three noon shows in downtown Spokane. (Dan Pelle)
