Obituary: Jameson, James “Jim”

JAMESON, James “Jim” (Age 81) Jim passed away December 17, 2014 born in Pueblo, CO the oldest of three boys to Jess and Lavina Jameson.

Jim became tough as nails as toughness wasn’t an option but the default choice as any signs of weakness were quickly exploited.

After graduating high school, Jim joined the Army Air Force, where he served in Korea and Vietnam.

His tours were difficult, but his quiet strength and courage were examples to many of his military brethren.

Jim, a smooth talker, married several times, the last being Sue.

Jim and Sue raised their family in Colorado.

He had many careers in life and always maintained great work ethic.

His proudest exclamation was that any boss in his life would re-hire him to this day.

It was this ethic and hardnosed toughness that exemplified him as a father as well.

His children knew the rules you work hard and don’t complain.

God didn’t make mistakes, and if something was difficult it was your job to find a way to change it or deal with it.

After his children were grown, Jim and Sue enjoyed a quiet life for many years.

They moved to North Idaho to be closer to family, and loved the beautiful scenery and outdoors.

Jim loved to fish, hunt and play his harmonica.

Sue passed away in 2012 and Jim has missed her every day.

He enjoyed socializing with his brother, Jess, and liked to discuss his military time.

Jim was in the Army for over four years and the Air Force for 22 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, his wife and a son.

Jim is survived by two brothers, Bud Richard Jameson, Mead, WA and Jess Aaron Jameson of Post Falls, ID.

Jim was a history buff and a kind soul who loved to share a smile, a story and a cup of coffee with anyone passing by.

He will be greatly missed.

Services will be January 5, 2015 at 11 o’clock in the chapel at Community Cremation & Funeral Spokane Valley with interment to follow at Pines Cemetery with Military Honors.
