Spokane County Jail says child rape suspect tried to escape

Staff reports
A Spokane County Jail inmate facing child rape and child molestation charges broke out his cell window Friday evening and will face a charge of attempted escape, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office reported. Jail officers searched the cell of Jeremiah R. Logan, 33, after learning that he might be planning escape, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. Officers found a rope made from bed sheets and several small saw blades in his cell that he used to remove a metal bar from his bunk. They also discovered that his window was broken out.
