(Age 85) Rebecca Sue Marie Allen Armstrong Croskell was born in Brookings, SD on February 15, 1929 to Colonel Dana Henry Allen and Myrtle Marie Allen.
With her Army father and mother, she traveled the world, living in China and the Philippines before WWII.
They lived in many states with the Army, and had a special summer home at Placid Lake in Montana where many friends enjoyed the hospitality of Colonel Allen’s family.
She graduated from the University of Montana, married Howard Armstrong and raised a family in Kalispell, MT.
They moved to Spokane, WA in 1968, she was a member of Central Lutheran Church, and was instrumental in the beginnings of the Meals on Wheels organization in Spokane.
As an active Christian who walked the talk, she began a fellowship with the Way International, with whom she served in California, Ohio, Indiana, Colorado and New Mexico.
Sue made many friends during those ministry years from all around the world.
She married Ancil Fount Croskell, her high school sweetheart in 1978 and eventually retired with him in Arabella, NM.
Sue moved back to Spokane after Fount died, where she could be close to family.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother Dana.
She is survived by her four children, Dana and Mary Armstrong of Boise, ID, Steve and Kathy Armstrong of Spokane, WA, Joe and Carol Armstrong of Milltown, NJ and Ann Armstrong of Post Falls, ID; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She made a difference in this world, not by violence and force, but with love and kindness.
She will be missed, but is asleep in Christ, so we will see her again!
God bless you.
