GANT, John Maxwell, Jr.

Passed away December 18, 2014 in Spokane.

He was born November 2, 1934 in Pensacola, FL the oldest of nine children born to John Sr. and Teresa Kathleen (Schlintz) Gant.

John was raised in Camas, WA and moved to the Spokane area in 1970 and raised his family.

He married Mary Kay McGlothlin in 1956 and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage together until her passing on November 26, 2013.

John was the ultimate University of Washington Huskie fan and also enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He leaves behind his children and their families Susan (Mark) Hund, John S. Gant and Lisa (Jim) Hill, all of Spokane; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 505 W. St. Thomas More Way, Spokane, WA with committal to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall St., Spokane.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Spokane Humane Society, 6607 North Havana Street, Spokane, WA 99217.
