Obituary: Speicher, Timothy Marvin
Age 66
Tim was born on May 22, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN to Gordon and Doris Kramer; moved to Spokane, WA at a young age with his parents and siblings.
He enlisted in the US Navy at age 17, choosing to explore the world by sea while serving his time to Uncle Sam, doing so proudly in the Vietnam War.
His bravery earned him several medals and bronze stars.
During his service he married Carmelita Speicher; after service completed moved to Spokane, WA settling with his family and beginning work at Boise Cascade.
When it closed down he found work in various local jobs.
He enjoyed hunting with his father and step-mother; loved outdoors taking his daughters camping and fishing often.
When his marriage ended he traveled for work.
He returned to Spokane, WA area for a time, later moved to beautiful Darby, MT enjoying his pastimes of camping, fishing and hunting outside his back door.
When he became very ill he moved back to Spokane to be with family.
Timothy’s survived by his daughters: Cheryl (Brian) Barnett, Constancia Knight, Cara (James) Richardson, all Spokane area; grandchildren: Breanna Speicher, Jordan Knight, Jessica and Connor Richardson, whom he loved deeply.
He’s also survived by his step-mom: Dolores Kramer, Deer Park; sisters: Tami (Robert) Pogue, Spokane, Karla (Chris) Barcellos, Nine Mile Falls; brother: Kent (Vickey) Kramer, Spokane; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loving dog “Gunner”.
Tim was preceded in death by his dad, mom, stepdad and three brothers.
He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, loyal friend; had a carefree attitude and giving heart.
His kindness, laughter, jokes, humorous Navy adventures, hunting and camping fiascoes will be remembered always.
His family would like to thank staff and caregivers at Spokane VA Hospice for their patience, kindness, compassion and support towards their father/grandfather (Timothy) as it was truly appreciated.
A private ceremony to spread his ashes will be held by his daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren at a later date.
